Build a Better Network (Audio Course)

Build a Better Network (Audio Course)

Build a Better Network is the course I wish had existed 20 years ago, when I was just starting out.

In it, I have distilled everything I have learned about building an effective network – to make things happen, and to attract opportunities. After sharing these tips and ideas with thousands of people in face-to-face workshops around the world, I wanted to put it into a 12-lesson audio course which could be shared far more widely and bought by anyone, anywhere.

This course was a revelation. It has made me completely rethink the way that I approach networking. This course is full of inspiration & practical tips on how to make effective networking a natural part of your day to day life. I feel genuinely more confident to think about network consciously, to think broader than simply the potential ‘transactional’ value & I can see the value in opening my heart to serendipity.” James Hay, MD Barrows Global

Over the past year, I have worked with Nasos Papadopoulos, creator of Metalearn, to distil and produce Build a Better Network.

Each 10-15 minute lesson has its own lesson plan and exercises, inspired by the techniques which I’ve used and shared with dozens of the world’s leading organisations.

Part One covers choosing who to connect to, using longshots to meet your dream contacts, thriving at online and real world events and using social media to reach a wider audience.

Part Two focuses on staying in touch, how to change a life with an introduction, mentors and mentees, and turning acquaintances into friends.

Part Three is all about collaboration, the art of hosting, cultivating your network for the long term and building a personal board of advisors.

“This was a very practical, user-friendly course that inspired me to think differently about how I approach relationships, and have a go at networking.” Pamela Bishop, CMO Blooms The Chemist (Australia)

Throughout the course, you’ll hear some of the people who have most inspired me, sharing their top tips, including including Daniel Priestley (Dent), Ella Goldner (Zinc), Dame Julia Cleverdon (National Literacy Trust and Teach First), Lord Bilimoria (Cobra Beer), Michael Acton Smith OBE (, Milimo Banji (Tapin), Neeta Patel CBE (Centre for Entrepreneurs), Penny Power OBE (author of Business is Personal), Simon Woodroffe OBE (YO! Sushi and Yotel), Stephen Colegrave (Byline), Syd Nadim (Clock and Swipe Station) and Tom Ball (DeskLodge).

There are real-life stories of how I’ve used the techniques to build a better network in order to create multiple award-winning companies and campaigns.

“I really enjoyed the course. Even though I consider myself having a good network, I can always do better and improve. I enjoyed listening to Oli’s course and being reminded about some great ways to stay connected and keep evolving my network!” Ella Goldner, GM Zinc

On a practical note, I want the course to give you dozens of useful ideas and techniques which you can put into practice immediately. More ambitiously, I hope it will make you think differently about networks, about what’s possible, and about who you want to meet.

“This course is a fascinating insight into the principles and thoughts of someone with over 20 years experience of building and maintaining a network. It has refreshed some of my process and introduced me to new thinking and ideas. I highly recommend Oli’s course and engaging with him outside of it.” Rob Nunn, CEO, Park West
